When I first left teaching I used to wander along the shore of the Thames in Rotherhithe, where I live, when the tide was out. I began picking up pieces of old clay pipes and fragments of pottery.
I was inspired to create artwork using these fragments.
The iPad drawings were inspired by a David Hockney exhibition at the Royal Academy.
